Why it matters

Why HR anonymizes first

  • Employee data has extra protection

    Performance reviews, health-related absences and grievances are sensitive under GDPR and KVKK. Sending them to an external service should not happen with names attached.

  • Candidates never agreed to it

    A CV was sent to you, not to an AI provider. Anonymize before you ask for a summary or a comparison.

  • Bias reduction as a side effect

    Screening without names, photos and addresses is also fairer. Anonymized CVs make that the default.

  • The final text gets the names back

    Draft the feedback with Person 1, then restore the real name in the de-anonymizer before you send it.

How to do it

Four steps, all in your browser

    Upload the file or paste the text

    Word, PDF, PowerPoint, Excel, CSV, JSON, HTML, Markdown or plain text. Up to 10 files, 50 MB each. The file is opened in your browser tab and never sent anywhere.

    Choose the rule

    Decide how each category is rewritten: labels like Person 1 / Company A, realistic fake values, masking or redaction. Optionally enable smart detection and add words to your dictionary.

  3. 3

    Review what will change

    Names, companies, emails, phone numbers, IDs and IBANs are listed with their replacements. Turn items off, add missed ones, correct a category. Nothing changes until you confirm.

  4. 4

    Download and paste into the AI

    You get the same file back, a Markdown version to paste into the chat, and a mapping table. Paste the AI's answer into the de-anonymizer to put the original names back.

Can I anonymize a batch of CVs at once?

Yes, up to 10 files per run, 50 MB each. Each file gets its own mapping table.

Are dates of birth detected?

Yes. Dates are a category you can turn on or off. Turn it on for CVs and complaints.

Will the CV formatting survive?

Yes for DOCX. PDFs come back as DOCX plus Markdown; layout is reconstructed as headings and lists.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser; 0 network requests during processing.
